DHL Express and PayPoint announce strategic partnership for the Romanian market
- DHL Express services will be available in over 100 PayPoint Express Parcel locations nationwide, exclusively for international document shipments
- By the end of the year, services will be available in as many PayPoint Colet Express locations as possible.
- In the future, customers will also be able to opt for parcels up to 25kg or collection from Paypoint Colet Expres partner locations
Bucharest: DHL, the global market leader in express courier and logistics, and PayPoint, the leading payment operator for a wide range of services, available in over 30,000 locations in Romania, announce the signing of a strategic partnership. The collaboration is aimed at developing the payments portfolio and expanding the network of partner locations for shipping services.
PayPoint customers will thus have access to express courier services worldwide, in over 220 countries and territories, in the location where they usually come to make their recurring payments or use other available services. At the same time, DHL customers will have many more locations available, closer to them, easier to access. For them, proximity is extremely important, so it will be much easier and more convenient to access international document forwarding services from PayPoint Colet Express locations, including in small towns and even villages.
A simple, secure and affordable process
The dispatch process is simple and efficient: the customer goes to a PayPoint Colet Expres partner location, where store staff collect the necessary information, generate the AWB, provide transit time details, collect the service fee, issue proof of payment and provide the packaging material free of charge. The parcel is then picked up by DHL and safely delivered to destinations in over 220 countries and territories.
The customer benefits from free access to the tracking system, with full visibility of the shipment from pick-up to delivery to the final recipient.
Initially, DHL's services will be available in 100 locations across the country, but the two companies have an ambitious plan to expand to as many PayPoint Colet Expres partner stores across the country as possible. By visiting the DHL Express Romania website, customers will be able to identify the PayPoint locations where DHL services will be available. Those interested will be able to send contracts, original documents, identity documents, photographs, certificates or other important documents, and in the future any other goods or products, relying on the security and speed of DHL's service and will have free packaging.
DHL serves individual and corporate customers from 22 own and 30 partner locations and a network of 164 parcel courier offices. Last year more than 40,000 customers shipped from DHL dispatch centers and more than 65,000 parcels were picked up and shipped by DHL Express Service Points and partners.
